이 땅의 회복과 화합을 위한 기도문
Prayer for the restoration and unity of our country
우리교회는 지난 5월 25일(월) 경찰의 과잉 진압으로 인한 조지 플로이드의 사망에 깊이 슬퍼합니다. 또한 편견과 차별로 인해 아픔을 겪는 많은 사람들에게 치유와 회복이 일어나기를 원하며, 미국이 세계를 섬기는 바른 리더십을 가진 나라로 거듭나기를 원하는 마음을 가지고 다음과 같이 기도합니다. Our church is deeply saddened by the tragic death of George Floyd at the hands of police officers on Monday May 25, 2020. We pray for healing and recovery for everyone suffering from injustice and discrimination in America and the entire world.
상처 받은 이들을 위하여 Prayer for the people hurt by this tragedy

경찰의 과잉 진압으로 인해 사망한 (고) 조지 플로이드의 유족들을 위로하여 주소서. 다음 주까지 이어지는 장례를 통해 그들의 마음이 치유되게 하소서. We pray that our Lord may provide comfort to the family of George Floyd. We pray that their hearts will be consoled in the upcoming funeral.

폭력과 사회적 불평등과 차별로 인해 고통 받는 사람들의 마음을 치유와 회복의 은혜를 주소서. We pray for the healing and recovery of everyone who suffers from violence, social inequality and discrimination.
미국 사회의 회복을 위하여 Prayer for the restoration of American society

다인종, 다문화 사회에서 함께 사는 미국이 문화적, 역사적 갈등으로 인한 상처를 치유하여 주소서. We pray that America, in which so many ethnicities and cultures live together, will overcome and heal the wounds caused by cultural and historical conflicts.

파괴와 약탈을 근절시켜 주시고, 평화로운 시위 문화를 정착하여 시민의식이 높아지게 하시고, 밝고 안전한 사회가 되게 하소서. We pray for and support the peaceful protests that happen everywhere in the US, and pray that the violence and destruction will come to an end. We pray that our awareness for social injustices will be raised, and that we will all contribute towards an inclusive and safe society.
미국의 경찰, 군인, 위정자들을 위하여 Prayer for the members of the police, military, and politicians

미국의 치안과 방위를 담당하는 경찰과 군인들이 그들의 권한을 정당한 방법으로 사용하게 하시고, 권한의 남용과 오용으로 인해 고통 받는 사건이 일어나지 않게 하소서. We pray that the members of police and the military, in charge of security and defense of this country, will use their powers in a compassionate manner, and that incidents of abuse of powers will not occur.

미국의 대통령을 비롯해서 위정자들에게 하나님과 시민을 두려워하는 마음을 주소서. 그들에게 주어진 임무와 권위를 바르게 사용하게 하시고, 이 땅이 밝고 건강한 나라가 되게 하소서. We pray that our political leaders, including the President, have fear and love for God and citizens of this country. Let them use their authority with compassion, and make this land a bright and healthy country.
우리 교회와 교회들을 위하여 Prayer for our church community and churches at large

이 땅에 있는 교회들이 복음을 삶으로 실천하는 일에 힘쓰게 하시고, 고통 받은 이웃들을 위로하고 아픔을 치유하는 일을 감당하게 하소서. We pray that churches will strive to live God’s gospel, and practice in comforting the weak and hurt.

우리교회도 세상의 일에 대해 무관심하지 않게 하시고, 아픈 자들과 함께 아파하며, 그들의 고통을 나눌 수 있게 하소서. We pray that our church will be compassionate to the sufferings of our neighborhood and society, share their pain and deliver healing through God’s words and works.
