I am a UVA alumnus who graduated in 2000, majoring in Computer Science. I used to serve as a tenor of the choir. On Friday 11/26, I visited Elder Kim's home for the Thanksgiving dinner gathering. I had great time in meeting old and new (to me) faces. I meant to talk about many things about the church, UVA, and Charlottesville, but I was rather distracted to my regret.
Anyway, I want to express my gratitude to Elder Son for inviting me and my family to the gathering, to Elder Kim and his family for providing the nicest place (as usual), and to all others who prepared the delicious food and helped make this heartwarming event happen.
I really wanted to participate in the singing event (people who know me would know how much I am in love with singing) in the later part of the gathering. However, we had to drive back home (Fairfax, VA) and it was getting late. Next time I have a chance, I will prepare myself and my family to have no problem in staying even overnight.
Sincerely,
Yang, Sung Shik
