Do everything in love.”

To me, the passage “Do everything in love” means to “do everything in passion.” Love brings passion. Love without passion does not exist. You cannot say that you love someone only because you do not hate him or her much. It is said that indifference is worse that hatred. Our indifference can be our refuge to hide our hating heart.

I feel that the Corinthian Church was a church that Paul wanted to give up from his heart. He, however, did not do so. Even though he was criticized by the members of the Corinthian Church, he did not avoid the situation by saying that the church was  no longer his ministry or that God would take care of the church in different way.

Sometimes I find that I hesitate between love and indifference. I do not hate someone, but I push him or her into indifference. And I also affect ignorance. To not love someone deeply is to hate him or her.

Dear Lord, please help me not to disguise myself as if I still love someone behind indifference. Please give me the power to love the church and the members deeply and make me Your servant to take after You. Amen.
