The Korean Honor Scholarship
주미대사관과 재미한인장학기금 운영위원회는 훌륭한 자질과 한국인으로서 정체성을 갖춘 한국계 유학생 및 한국계 동포학생들을 대상으로 2016년도 재미한인장학기금 장학생을 선발할 계획으로 있습니다.
The Korean Honor Scholarship Committee and Embassy of the Republic of Korea extend an invitation to outstanding and culturally deep-understanding Korean and Korean-American undergraduate and graduate students to compete for the 2016 Korean Honor Scholarship.
○ Application period: April 4, 2016 ~ June 18, 2016
- Scholarship Award presentation: September 12, 2016 ~ September 19, 2016
○ Amount of Scholarship: Highest Honor Scholarship - $ 3,000 (1 student)
Honor Scholarship - $1,000 (35 students or so)
Best Essay Award - $ 500 in addition to Honor Scholarship (for 2)
○ Allocation of Awards
Will be subject to change according to the number of applications in each category and
the amount of funds available.

○ Qualifications
(1) At the time of application, an applicant must be a full time 4-year college or graduate student who has achieved a grade point average of 3.5 or higher(For music and art students, the GPA must be 3.0 or higher) at least for the previous one academic year(Fall, 2015 ~ Spring, 2016)
※ The GPA should be on a 4.0 basis (Pass or Fail is not acceptable).
(2) Any students whose parents are Korean (either one or both) or any legally adopted Korean-American students are welcome to apply.
